According to the Hebrew Calendar, this year the Feast of Pentecost will begin at sundown on Saturday, May 23rd & concludes on Sunday, May 24th. Sadly, for much of the Church, Pentecost is simply an historical event, something that happened once in the past, which we may or may not celebrate or remember. Biblically however, Pentecost represents the continuing presence of God through the Holy Spirit as an ongoing source of spiritual transformation & as an enduring spiritual reality that continues to inspire faith, worship, mission & transformation in the Christian community. The focus of this message is the spiritual significance of the Feast of Pentecost for us as believers today as the promise of the Father, beyond salvation.
