Following on from Peter’s excellent message last week on Pentecost we will look at the early stages of Elijah’s ministry where God used him powerfully. Taken from 1 Kings 17 we will see that Elijah, described by James in the New Testament ‘as a man with a nature like ours’, does startling things for the LORD. Elijah, prayed earnestly, believed passionately & obeyed radically as he fulfilled God’s plans & purposes in God’s timing. We need Elijah’s encouragement in the days in which God said He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh.
