Speaking In Tongues As The Spirit Gives Utterance

The Person & the Work of the Holy Spirit (17). Referring to what the crowd both saw & heard on the Day of Pentecost, including the 120 speaking in tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance, Peter says in verse 39 of Acts 2, “For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” Today, the baptism in the Holy Spirit & speaking in tongues are seen as optional extras or relegated to the days of the first Church. This message addresses the confusion over speaking in tongues including speaking in tongues privately & speaking in tongues in a congregational setting so that we may be edified personally & corporately.
