The Beatitudes (14). In this final message of the Beatitudes series, we explore Jesus’ call for every believer to be a distinctive, Spirit-filled light in a dark and fearful world. Drawing on the imagery of the Tiritiri Matangi lighthouse, the message shows how believers lose effectiveness when they dim their distinctiveness, blend into the culture, or try to shine in their own strength. Jesus calls us not to strive, but to abide in Him, allowing His light to shine through us with clarity, courage, and compassion. As the world grows darker, Christ invites His people to join Him in His work—seeking the lost, proclaiming the gospel, and shining as bright beacons that point others to salvation in Him. Believers are encouraged to reflect God’s character so that others may see Him clearly and give glory to the Father.
