Motivated by Love, Working as a Team, Empowered by the Spirit

Love is to be our motivation in all we do. When we love the Lord as He created us to love Him, then as an overflow we will love our neighbour unconditionally as we are loved unconditionally. The greatest demonstration of love towards our neighbour is to reach out with the Gospel to see them saved. The church is a team of people, a body of people interdependently & cooperatively working together to serve the Lord & seeking to be used by Him to see His purposes fulfilled. Every believer has a ministry in building up the body so Paul encourages us to eagerly desire the gifts given by the Holy Spirit, especially the gifts that strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them and thus builds up the body of believers, the Church. There is a place for spiritual insight & revelation when we are speaking to non-believers also. As we share the Gospel in a biblical fashion, then we can expect the Holy Spirit to lead us to speak words of spiritual wisdom, knowledge and insight to those people He leads us to.
