The Person & Work of the Holy Spirit (20). In seeking to understand the role of the Holy Spirit in the Church that Jesus said He would build, we need to have a biblical understanding of the over-arching purposes of God in the earth, in the Church & in our own lives. From that perspective, we are able to understand how the Holy Spirit functions as the Advocate for Christ to accomplish God’s divine purposes in this present age, the age of the Spirit. In this message we look at the false prosperity gospel & how that distorts the truth concerning God’s eternal purposes & how the tentacles of that false gospel distort the role of the Holy Spirit in the Church & also our perspective on the dealings of God in our own lives.
