Called to the Kingdom: Purim 2021

From sunset on Thursday, 25th of February to sunset on Friday, 26th of February, Jewish people all around the world celebrated the annual Feast of Purim. This feast is a joyful feast of remembrance and of celebration that commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia (modern day Iran) from the plans of the King’s advisor, the evil Haman, who plotted and schemed for the King to sign an evil decree to annihilate all the Jews in Persia and to do so in a single day. The biblical account is recorded in the Book of Esther and details Esther’s role in the salvation of her people. This message looks at six important applications for us today focussing on our preparation and calling for God’s kingdom purposes.
