The Beatitudes (1) In this new series of messages we are going to look at the many facets that are found in the Kingdom of God, or the Kingdom of Heaven. Simply put this is ’the rule & reign of God in a persons life.’ What Jesus has given us in the Beatitudes is the description of the character of the person who is in Christ & is the description of the new nature & new character of the person who is consequently being transformed into the image & likeness of Christ. We now have the Kingdom of God, the rule and reign of Christ within. Today’s message is based on Matthew 5:3 ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.’ We will look closely at what the Lord’s intends for us to understand & apply in our lives for life & ministry in these important end days.
